Why is one said of his body transparent? Purposely?

Not a skin... but i'll let you in on something. I'm working on a project... A massive one. Still only half way done, but it'll be worth the wait. It's called the temple of glowstone, or glowstone monastery. You see the Glowstonism religion began with a 7 by 13 church in my "Fort Somnolence" Project. Then continued with a rather large "Chapel of Glowstone" project, which took about a day. Now I'm working on a massive "Temple of Glowstone" project, or "Glowstone Monastery" . I have already designed it, but i'm playing around with it currently. Improvising if you will.
