U.C. 0079, Bright Noa was 19-years-old and a Earth Federation Forces Ensign stationed on the SCV-70 White Base as a junior line officer. As he arrived to his assignment, he ran into chief engineer Lieutenant Tem Ray, who showed Bright a picture of his son, Amuro. When Zeon pilot Char Aznable attacked Side 7 after discovering the secret Project V, Bright scrambled to get the evacuees onto the White Base while a pilot in the RX-78-2 Gundam fought off the MS-06 Zaku II. He eventually realized that Amuro, whom he hadn’t met yet, was the only living candidate to pilot the Gundam.
