Brunetto Latini (born around 1220, died in 1294) was an Italian philosopher, statesman, notary, scholar, and poet. He was also the mentor and guardian Dante Alighieri after the untimely passing of Dante's father, Alighiero di Bellincione.
In the Divine Comedy, Brunetto is encountered in the third ring of the seventh circle of Hell (Violence). What makes things more interesting is that everyone admired him in life, even Dante, so to see him in Hell with other political enemies is a surprising reminder that even the people you admired may have done some wrongful stuff. However, the poem shows its age when you learn Brunetto is there either because of his (possible) homosexuality or his use of writing in a foreign language (listen, its a medieval poem, some things certainly didn't age well).
(Note: I made this skin merely for the sake of history and an animation based on the Inferno; if you are offended, I didn't mean to do so, and I apologize in advance.)
