[Cambiel]

The ambassador of a self-replicating parasitic hivemind hellbent on diplomatically assimilating all life in the universe.
Assigned specifically to attempt to convert members of the human race to its beliefs, The swarm named its ambassador Cambiel, after the archangel of transformation and metaphysics, like the big fucking nerd the swarm is.

The swarm decided that keeping Cambiel separate from itself would somehow help him to convert the individualism-minded humans. The poor sod is now disconnected, stuck with a super pretentious name and a seemingly impossible task of willingly converting all humanity. That combined with the fact that without the swarm's hivemind he isn't exactly a genius has made his life complicated.

Additionally, the unfortunate thrall is being stalked by a crack team of humanity's finest containment specialists and intelligence agents who are convinced that the guy is gonna try to pull a "The Thing" and escape into the populace. And that's not even mentioning the small cult of wannabe transhumanists that have been going through his garbage looking for sacred texts.

Armed with diplomatic immunity throughout the human domain and several high-school debate classes, Cambiel is trying his best to get all mankind to become one with the godlike mind of the swarm (Which is currently working on terraforming an asteroid field into a welcome mat for when he comes home.)
