Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. First and last of the US Military's super soldier subjects, Steve fought against the villainous Hydra and Johann Schmidt, the Red Skull. After defeating the Red Skull, Steve sacrificed himself to stop Hydra's destructive plan. Rather than dying, he was found frozen -alive- in the ice 70 years later. He now fights with and leads the Avengers, against whatever may threaten Earth.
