Serpentium's family had a very happy life. They were a band of serpents who caught fish, played games, and had fun in general. But Serpentium was a very odd serpent. He was a lot smaller than most serpents, and more stocky. His front fins even had fingers on them. Yet luckily, His family didnt care. They loved him with all their might, and they knew that he was very brave for is size, and would always catch fish bigger than himself.

But one day that peacfullness broke when a huge shadow loomed over the seabed. Serpentium glanced up and saw a huge black shape. A black shadow of a ship was above him, and Serpentium knew it was up to trouble.  In no moments at all, a big black net sarted to sink onto his home and family. He instantly knew that his home would soon be destroyed if he did nothing about it. 

Serpentium swam up as fast as he could, right into the net. He would sacrifice himself to save his family, no matter what the cost. It worked, somewhat. The net stopped sinking, but he was trapped. He was tangled and hopeless as he felt the net drag him up and out of the water. Serpentium hissed as he saw the people who set the net out of the water. Pirates! Big, old, dirty pirates. Every one of them with a big, crooked smile on their face.

Serpentium's body was suddenly filled with anger, and then he started to rip apart the net with newfound strength. The net was soon in shreds, and all the pirates had unsheathed their swords, ready to battle. Serpentium could smell their fear, but cannot see it. They were staring at the Serpent, concentrated, and wating for the right moment to attack. Serpentium forgot about tactics and planning, and lunged at them, teeth and eyes glaring.


Pirates were bitten and killed and blood was spilled on the ship. They had no defense against Serpentum! Serpentium was exausted when he killed the last one. Well, he thought he killed the last one. Before Serpentium could slither off the side of the ship, a loud and growly voice came from behind.
"How dare you slaughter my crew!"
Serpentium turned his head around, and saw a rather large pirate. Obviously the leader.
"You cant leave a ship with no crew." Growled the captain, who had a red ribbon around his head. "You shall take over my ship, and you definately wont see your family again"

Thats when Serpentium lunged at the captain, and ripped him apart. He wanted to see his family. Never could he imagine leaving them. But then something happened. It felt strange at first, but then he noticed that he was cursed. Someting told him to stay on the ship, to not go back into the water. Captain Serpentium glared at the sea. He wont see his family again. Or friends. No, he wont. We will stay on this ship forever, and wear the captains clothes. He didnt care. It was like the curse took hold of him, changed him, for the worse.
