The circus is coming to town and we are so excited
The circus is on its way and everyone’s invited
Elegant and talented acrobats on a string
Lions and stripes jump through fire rings
Elephant’s in pink bowing on one knee
A clown upside down hanging from the clouds
And then you’ve got me

I’m the monkey in the middle
It’s like I’m invisible, blending with the circus of life
I’m just another act piled in the stack,
I’d tell you to watch your back

When dawn breaks the circus will surrender
To its pretender, collecting dust on the road so long
Our reputation will blend with the fool we represent
Becoming camouflage, hiding underneath the stars

Romeo and Juliet, haven’t got that far yet
Another cage, another act
Two for one, a heart attack
Dawn is near to break the chain
Show the world that love is genuine
That love is pain, in the game
In the circus that we call life
