Coblynaus are mythical gnome-like creatures that are said to haunt mines and quarries. They are usually half a yard tall, and extremely ugly. They are dressed in miniature Miner outfits. They are hardworking but will never get the job done. Myth says that they are able to cause rockslides in Mines. The word Coblynau is derived from the English word Goblin, which was derived form the Germanic Source akin to the German Kobold.
