Cuckoo Boy

The Story

Within the depths of the Black Forest in southwestern Germany,there lives a family. This family is known as the "Cuckoo family". Despite what it may suggest, they aren't crazy- well not entirely. The Cuckoo family actually inherits the title from their obsession with the creation of cuckoo clocks. They will even try to wear them or incorporate the clocks into their clothing. It is simply a family tradition to do so.

The only son of the Cuckoo family,Cuckoo Boy, is often tasked with collecting wood for the construction. Usually it takes him no time at all. In fact, Mr Cuckoo loves going into the woods. He can be observed following the animals- his favourite feature of the woodlands. Some have speculated that he harbours a ability to listen to the thoughts of the creatures in his perimeter.

One day, a band of mischiefs entered the Black Forest. Three young men began to disturb the animals' habitat by kicking rocks and chasing the forest-dwellers.Cuckoo boy watched from the treetops.He had to quickly draw up a plan to stop them.An idea struck him like wildfire.The boy knew how to craft plenty of wooden sculptures.Therefore, perhaps he could build something to ward them away.With some sticks, string, and pointy rocks, he constructed a bow.

He leaped down the tree and pulled his bow.The teens were first laughing at his ungraceful landing.The laugh converted to screams when the bow was pulled back.As soon as they ran, he released the arrow from the string, sending it flying down the path.It landed by their feet. Cuckoo boy had no reason to slay the barbaric teenagers.He kindly waved bye to the young adults and returned home.
