Disgusting Face

When I thought about grayscale I first thought about a 40's Jazz orchestra, but I assumed everyone was going to that. Then I thought of a gradient revealing something, which pointed me towards an old pixel horror game called "Mask Reveals Disgusting Face." Obviously I didn't rip the monster straight from the game, but it was my main point of inspiration when creating this thing. I also took inspiration from the Redeads in "The Legend of Zelda." I was going to do the gradient reveal thing I mentioned before, but no one would ever use that ingame. Granted I don't think anyone would use this either. I don't think this skin could even come close to winning the contest, however it was fun playing with depth using the hat and jacket layers, and I want to work more with those in the future.
