Edward Keelie
Edward 'Ed' Keelie (born 854) was an infamous human outlaw, gang leader, ranger and convicted murderer. Famed as one of the last true rangers, Keelie is best known for his characteristic green cloak, crossbow and great helm.
Keelie was born to a convicts family in the colony of Vigdorya. His parents having died of tuberculosis, left Keelie as the head of the Keelie household in this thirteenth summer. The Keelies decided to flee the colonies and establish themselves as a gang in the squattocratic wastelands. By his eighteenth summer, Keelie himself had been arrested thrice by the Royal Guard under charge of cattle theft, robbery and conspiracy.
Keelie continued to evade the Royal Guard for a decade with aid from a network of sympathisers and adherents to the Keelie cause. With the Keelie gang having grown a substantial settlement of their own, Keelie issued a manifesto denouncing the Royal Guard and the Empire as a whole. Keelie was eventually subdued following a violent skirmish between the gang and the Royal Guard. The Keelie gang settlement was destroyed soon after.
Though sentenced to be hung from the gallows, Keelie had disappeared from his cell on the eve of his hanging. A number of individuals have since donned similar garb and claimed to be Keelie, but none have thus far been confirmed as Keelie himself.
