Queen Cygnus is the current empress who rules over Maple World.
With
her special team of Cygnus knights, together, they only have one goal -
defeating the Black Mage - the evil being that continually threatens
the Maple world.

This version of Cygnus is presented in the near future of Maple World - 
A
corrupted, evil empress controlled by the Black Mage after trapping her
and her knights on their search for the tree of life, the tree that was
supposed to grant Cygnus and her knights the power needed to fight
against the black mage.

Later on, it is discovered that what
appeared to be a vision of the near future was just an illusion made by
the black mage himself.
