Erwin Rommel (15 November 1891 – 14 October 1944) was a German general and military theorist. Popularly known as the Desert Fox, he served as field marshal in the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany during World War II.

One of the few generals who fought for Germany, yet wasn't cruel like the other Nazis. If there was a way for the Germans to join the Allies, Rommel would have taken the chance.

That is correct! Whether he was or wasn't apart of the plot to kill Hitler is still yet to he determined. Although he fought for the wrong side the man should still be considered a war hero
