False Groudon, also known as Virus Groudon, is the main villain of the movie, Pokemon: Jirachi, Wish Maker. It is a pure evil false clone of the legendary pokemon, Groudon. It was created when a corrupt magician, who was once a scientist for the evil Team Magma, tried to use the power of the mythical pokemon Jirachi in order to bring Groudon to life, after Team Magma kicked him out of the group for failing the first time. During the last day of time Jirachi was supposed to be awake, he kidnapped the mythical pokemon and forced him to absorb power from a cosmic object called the Millennium Comet through it's true eye, in order to power the machinery. Unfortunately, it was too much power, and this unholy monster was born. The creature began absorbing energy from the ecosystem and trapping people and pokemon inside it's body through its tendrils, including May, Brock, Team Rocket and the magician's girlfriend. The remaining heroes, as well as the now redeemed magician, came up with a way to stop False Groudon once and for all: they need to reverse the polarity of the machine and put Jirachi back in it, in order to destroy the monster before it can absorb Jirachi's energy. They almost got trapped inside it's body. But at the last second, they started the machine and Jirachi destroyed Virus Groudon using his signature move Doom Desire. The creature was ultimately destroyed and everyone was freed. In the end, Jirachi said goodbye to his friends and returned to his thousand year slumber.
