An Ent (Known also as a Treant, Treeman, Woodskin, or other names) is a giant, humanoid, sentient creature who share many characteristics with trees. They are very tall and have thick skin which is very bark-like to the touch, and their limbs resemble the branches of a tree. Ents are strong and can crush stones or tear apart the Earth if they so chose; generally, though, they remain fairly docile unless angered.
