Do you mean without layers?, if so, then the solution to that is you just avoid the hat, coat, and pant layers of the skin, and if you're having trouble with the template, then you just crop the 1.8 layers out. But if you're talking about how to get the 1.8 layers and/or Alex model, then you're best bet is this. I hope this made sense, and i thought i might just scoot in here and help ^^

Hello, I used to make my skins on the skindex but too many people were stealing my skins and recently skindex has been down so i make mine on miners need good shoes. well only just started using it today.
