Uh, wrong... Furor was the Roman god of war and anger. He would normally be chained in one of the temples, but I can not remember the name of the temple, but when there was war the Romans would open the temple and unchain him. Octavian (AKA Augustus) was the first Consul to bring peace to Rome in about a century or so, even though this lasted very shortly.

Unless you are talking about Greek Mythology, in which case Furor would be related to the Furies.
And the Spaniards had a warship class called Furor.
