here's my oc Ever at age 15! she's currently 23. this was during a turning point in her life, when she'd finally had enough of the constant abuse and horrible treatment she'd endured became too much. i'm going to include a short description i've started to write about her early life :) this moment changed her personality completely. she went from a depressed and socially isolated child to someone who forgot most of her life and began to rebuild with a healthier mindset, despite the trauma she still carried on her shoulders.

Ever Valentine is a very peculiar person. She grew up in a broken home with alcoholic parents who lived off government checks and had no siblings. She was neglected from the day she was born - an unwanted child. Ever got by on food scraps she found in alley’s behind restaurants or what she could take home from the school cafeteria. She was always an outcast no matter where she was - her only real friend was a neighborhood cat.. But unfortunately that didn’t last, either. Ever discovered the cat’s mangled body at the age of 7. Feeling distraught and alone again she brought the cat home with her, where its body remained until the smell was so overwhelming a neighbor called the police, assuming somebody had died within the apartment. A police officer discarded the cat’s body and so began the frequent occurrence of Ever being beaten. Her parents blamed her for everything and the police being called on the Valentine’s wasn’t uncommon, but it never resulted in any fortunate outcomes for Ever. Every time she would be beaten worse than the last, although their neighbors seemed to complain more about the arguing than what was happening to Ever. She’d turn up to school covered in cuts and bruises but none of the teachers or children seemed to notice or care.. It was as if she was invisible.
