There are many machines that do meaningless tasks. There are apps for our phones that simply count the number of times you push a button, but why would one design an artificial intelligence for the sole purpose of holding your headgear? There are already many inanimate hat racks, so why make a robot one?

Not that I really mind, it makes me look rather dapper.
