"The Hominidae (/hÉ Ë mɪɨdiË /; anglicized hominids, also known as great apes), as the term is used here, form a taxonomic family, including four extant genera: chimpanzees (Pan), gorillas (Gorilla), humans (Homo), and orangutans (Pongo). The term "hominid" is also used in the more restricted sense of humans and relatives of humans closer than chimpanzees. In this usage, all hominid species other than Homo sapiens are extinct"
Hominid the Transformed was formerly known as Dengo the Gorilla. His life begun at the Kolmarden Zoo in Sweden, Northern Europe's largest. He exhibited a profound understanding of human emotion and was quickly learning how to sign the english language using hand gestures. He soon became something of a celebrity as people from around the world would spend thousands to have a conversation with him. This sudden burst of popularity gained the attention of a mysterious organization who specified in augmentation using state of the technology.
With a large sum of money Dengo was purchased by the organization and immediately put into surgery. Dengo was the perfect subject for Project 7, a cyborg/animal that would obey the commands of it's master. It would be stronger than it's un-augmented siblings and more aggressive as well as being hardier. The project was a success, when Dengo woke his muscles had been replaced with a synthetic material twice as strong. Two braces were placed on him, in the case of an emergency these would ground him to the floor using intense magnets.
One night, while the staff slept. Dengo made his escape. Over the past weeks he had learnt to speak in full the english language, he tricked the security system into shutting down by mimicking the voice of a guard. Once the doors were open he charged forward, killing all in his way. His creator, and the head of Project 7 shouted "Stop Dengo!" he then pushed the button, expecting Dengo to fall to the floor. Like anticipated Dengo did fall, but he got up to his creator's horror. With a fire in his eyes Dengo charged forward and chased the frantic and scared old man. Holding him by his next Dengo spoke "My name is Hominid".
Now Dengo exerts his rage on nearby cities, pillaging and destroying.
