This is my first skin in my Medieval Skin Series! Atalanta The Huntress!
Here's her story!
I awoke with the snow falling over my body. Magnus, my wolf companion, was by my side keeping me warm. When I sat up, I noticed that there was blood spread across the snow. "What happened?" I wondered. As I started to scan my surroundings, I saw a dead bear to my side. Then I remembered, I was on a solo hunting expedition, and I spotted the bear. It was such a major find that I had to kill it and take it home. However, it was facing in the wrong direction so I wasn't able to get a successful hit on it.
I pulled out my bow and shot the bear in the shoulder, hoping for it to turn so I could get a better shot at its head. That didn't happen, however. Instead of turning so I could get a better shot, it charged at the tree I was in and started to climb up. Fearing the worst, I acted out of impulse and shot all of my arrows at it. They had no effect, though. Not realizing that I exhausted my arrows, the bear continued to climb further up the tree. Seeing this, I unsheathed my sword and started to swing at the bear. Most of my hits still had no effect until I finally stabbed at the bear's heart. The hit was successful. The bear plummeted to the ground, but not before knocking me out of the tree, where I fell thirty feet to the ground. This is what had caused me to become unconscious. Luckily Magnus was there to keep me warm, or I would have frozen to death.
