The 7th Angel, Israfel is named after the Angel of Music and can split into twins. Asuka and Shinji failed to defeat them at first due to not being Synchronized, it took five days of Listening to music and training to be able to get properly Synced so they could defeat the Angel, even after Israfel was killed Shinji and Asuka ended the episode by arguing over a mess up they did.
