The dragons were proud mystical creatures. Many had magical powers and some even spoke human languages. Certain species of these creatures hibernated, or slept, underground, for millenniums. They remained dormant for long periods of time.

During the 1300s, dungeons were riddled throughout the world, created to torture... to kill. It was during this time when dragons plagued the land. When it came time to mate and then rest, the dragons sought for caves, finding dungeons. The dragons all hid underground, spreading their magic through the roots of the dungeon foundations. Over time, dungeons develope souls, they multiplied, grew, inching their way down into the depths of the underworld. It was the dragons, the first delvers, the first dwellers, the first explorers, of the dungeons, that created the monstrous mazes.
