Made for the Super PMC Fighters Jam

Here is my main OC, Ray (Ray is short for his full name)

His full name most commonly translates to "Light Meteor"

He is a mix fighter of all three types: Melee, Ranged, and Magic

While this is for a jam, it is also the unveiling of my OC, so I would like to be somewhat lore accurate with his moveset.

I used to play SSBU a lot (started playing again, once in a while), so I went all out with the moveset
Moveset (WARNING: THERE IS A LOT TO READ; MY APOLOGIES, I COULDN’T HELP MYSELF)
Ray is not meant to be a balanced character; lore-wise, the Creator of the Gods is terrified by the thought of merely encountering him (for the sake of the Jam I'll "try" to balance him out; he'll probably be really overpowered regardless)

All character moves referenced for comparison are from Super Smash Bros Ultimate (SSBU)

KO = Knockout, Stock = Lives, FS = Final Smash

He is a middleweight (movement speed is medium and takes moderate knockback), however his attacks are fast.

Ray only has one extra jump like most characters

Neutral Attack - Ray stabs his sword forward to attack.

Dash attack - Ray lunges and tackles his opponent. Can KO and send enemies off stage starting at 100%

Shield - Ray does NOT have a shield mechanic. In return, any damage he takes from opponents will fill his FS meter slightly more than just attacking. (If in Stamina Mode, Ray will instead get an increase in attack power every 2 hits he takes)

Dodge - Ray does have a dodge mechanic and it is in similar fashion to Fire emblem characters. Unlike other characters, Ray's dodge mechanic is NOT affected by staleness (repetitive use of a dodge causes it to lose effectiveness; Ray can essentially dodge attacks seamlessly to make up for lack of a shield).

Forward tilt - Ray performs a downward slash with his sword.

Up tilt - Ray will stab his sword upward poking any opponents. Does small damage but good for juggling and combo setups.

Down tilt - Ray will trip the opponent by sweeping his legs to hit their legs.

All but one of Ray's aerial attacks are similar to Roy's (excluding Roy's sweet spot ability)

Down aerial - Using his gauntlet, Ray will throw an overhand punch. Has a spike effect.

Forward smash - Ray brings his arm back and slashes his sword horizontally striking at the opponents chest. Has a 10% chance to crit and will do 30% more damage.

Up smash - Similar to Ike's up smash, Ray will swing his sword upward with great force creating an arc. Opponents hit at the end of the arc will be buried (stuck in the ground).

Down smash - Ray will charge up a kick that will send opponents upward. Similar to Luigi’s Up special, it has a sweetspot that can KO at 50%. The sweetspot is at his foot so it must be distanced AND it must be fully charged to KO.

Neutral special - Similar to Hero, Ray can choose a spell/attack to cast. For the sake of simplicity, he can only cast 3 spells that can be selected:

Lifeless - Ray will extend his left hand out and will shoot a beam that will drain life from any enemies in front. The beam will extend through the whole stage and will only last for 3 seconds. Will drain more if special is charged for longer. This does NOT heal Ray’s damage, only inflicts set damage to opponents. The beam cannot be directed and will only go in a straight line.

Dragon Fang - Ray summons his weapon, Dragon Fang, which can operate as a sword/melee weapon and bow just like Pit's Bow (it is also similar in design). In this case, Ray will only use it as a bow and can shoot a single arrow in a straight line across the entire stage. If fully charged, the arrow has a 1% chance to KO at any percent. The arrow cannot be absorbed and will ignore any attempts to.

Nucleus Flare - Ray will shoot a fireball. It will explode upon impact. Fireball will travel faster and do more damage if attack is charged for longer. If an attempt to absorb it is made, the absorber will be set on fire for 5 seconds, taking 5% damage per second.

Neutral Special has a 15 second cooldown after each use. None of these attacks can be reflected. All attacks will travel in a perfectly straight line when released and if done in midair Ray will actually stop in place while the move happens. (potentially useful for recovery)

Forward Special (Chain Art) - Similar to Richter's forward smash, Ray summons a chain from his gauntlet to whip the opponent. Can also function as a tether recovery.

Up Special (Draconic Wings) - Similar to Corrin’s Up special, Ray is part dragon and can fly up to the stage (His wings extend out from his skin). Has super armor (takes no knockback) and Ray cannot be spiked or interrupted in flight due to the great force that occurs when spreading his wings. Wings will retract once Ray is back on stage. Wings cannot be used for any extra jumps. Ray will always have enough time to fly back to the stage regardless of how far down he is, however he will only deploy his wings if below the stage enough. (This means you can't use Up Special while on or above the stage)

Down Special - Ray will parry an attack and slash his sword forward. Similar to Fire Emblem characters counter, however Ray takes no damage.

Grab and Pummel - Ray will grab his opponents by the neck (If you're Kirby or just small he'll simply grab you) and will continually slash at you with his sword.

Forward throw - Ray will summon a chain and throw the opponent with it. Will KO at the ledge starting at 40%.

Up throw - Ray will throw opponents upward and will quickly follow up with an upward chain whip to send opponents flying off stage. Will KO at 60%. Can only be aerial dodged. (If you try to jump away, your fate is sealed regardless of damage taken)

Back throw - Ray will toss you backwards and quickly turn around to lunge and slash at you. Slash can only be avoided by jumping immediately. Ray will actually lunge and slash off the ledge if close enough.

Down throw - Ray throws his opponent on the ground and will quickly stomp on them for additional damage. The stomp can only be avoided by rolling immediately away after the throw.

For Final Smashes, the previous move must make contact to determine the outcome. Once Ray's FS is active, any moves performed after will not change the outcome of his FS.

1st FS (Light Meteor) - If the previous attack was melee, Ray will raise his sword to the sky and recite his full name causing what appears to be a sun in the sky moving closer toward the stage. In reality it is a meteor made of pure light. Upon impact all players (exluding Ray ofc) will lose a stock or be eliminated. Will KO at any percentage and can be performed from anywhere on the stage

2nd FS (Forbidden Spell: Exponential Extinction) - If the previous attack was magic (excluding Dragon Fang), Ray will take out his spell book (found on his right side), open it and will say "Forbidden Spell, Exponential Extinction." A large orange X will appear in the sky and a smaller x on the top right like an exponent in math. Both X's will gradually increase in size and consume the entire stage (the visual effect is similar to the X bombs explosion). Just like Light Meteor, it will KO at any percent and can be done from anywhere on stage.

3rd FS (Ray's Triangle) - If the previous attack was a fully charged Dragon Fang (neutral special), Ray will throw all three of his weapons; his sword, Dragon Fang, and his spellbook into the sky. All enemies will be grabbed by a chain and will be chained together at the center of the stage. Each weapon will then charge up and will then plummet toward the stage converging on the center. The visual created is an upside down triangle, hence Ray's Triangle. Unlike the other two, Ray's Triangle will bring all opponents down to one stock (lore-wise this is actually the weakest of the three)

Due to the strength of the Final Smashes, Ray's FS Meter will take thrice as long to fill compared to any other character. Ray is also incapable of attacking the Smash ball and can only fill his meter through his own attacks and by being attacked.

If you actually read all this I applaud you 👏
