The new and improved Little Red Riding hood! Everyone has to grow up at some point, and when Little Red Riding hood did, she became the ultimate wildlife ranger! No wolves will be trying to steal this woman's stuff!
Originally I wanted to create a "Little Red Robbin Hood" skin, but I decided to drop the Robbin Hood part because her hair blocked her back where I was going to put her bow and quiver. I decided to just use Little Red Riding Hood instead.
Usually, I try create the skins with some random color shade settings, then add generic shadows to the skins. This time I tried something different; every bit of shading, every shine in her hair, was done manually. I am particularly happy with how her hair turned out.
To create this skin, I started with a base color. There was no shading and no highlights. It started with her hair (no layers at all) and the red clothing. There was none of that very dark color.
After I was satisfied with the basic look, I added details - the nearly balck red, the belt buckles, etc. After I finished, I started to add the shading.
Once I finished shading, I added layers and shaded those the same, then submitted the skin.
After looking through other submissions and taking feedback from other people, I edited the skin, adding layers to the hair and making other small details. Ultimately, she ended up looking much nicer.
Colors
Her clothing (The bright red) consists of 4 shades of red.
Her pants consist of 3 shades of the burgundy color.
Her Arm guards (They were supposed to be for keeping the bowstring from slapping her arms) and shoes and belts are made of 3 shades of very dark red.
Her hair is made with 6 shades of blonde; 3 for her basic hair and 3 much lighter versions for the highlights.
Her eyes consist of 2 shades of blue plus white.
Her belt buckles consist of 3 shades of grey.
Her skin consists of 4 shades; only 2 pixels (her cheeks) use one of the shades.
In total, 25 colors were used in this skin.
