Metallic Michael- Contest Entry

Michael Knox was once a normal man, much like you, me and everyone else around, he was a simple human being. Of course, there is an emphasis
on 'was'. I will not digress into too much detail of his past life, all that you need to know is that he was a scientist, working on advancements
that would shape the very development of the entire human race.
Michael's transition begins where he had been tasked to design and create a new weapon that would be virtually unstoppable and paramount to the
improvement of the military. Knox carried out this task with the dedication and commitment that any hard-working employee would. The work was long
and laborious, but he kept at it, continually motivated by the rewards and benefits of the task's completion.
After some time, the task was finally completed, the weapon that could turn the tide of battle in a mere instant: a suit of projectile-proof
armour that would fire an array of deadly ammunition at alarming rates, this this was a monster. The model was still a prototype, and many
problems and kinks had to be sorted out before they could allow public testing to commence. As the model would not work unless a human was
operating it from the inside, the team could not further develop their creation.Michael was the only one to volunteer as operator, he and the others
felt it right to allow the original creator the privilidge of being the first inside.
As with everything, developing a superweapon came at a price, and a hefty one at that. The expenses for the project came to a total of £37,000,000, and
that was £17,000,000 over their initial budget. The board of investors were not happy at their substantial loss. One man, Jeremy Wilde, was so unhappy at
his misfortune that he flew into uncontrollable rage, and burst onto the factory floor, ripping individual mechanical components and whole machines out of
their power sockets, leaving only chaos and fire in his wake.
At this time of Wilde's rage, Michael was still inside the loading capsule, undergoing the procedures for the operation of the suit. The capsule's
abrubt shut down caused everything to lock into place, meaning Michael was trapped inside the capsule, halfway through the procedure. The fire that
Wilde had started as a result of his outburst caused Michael's exposed skin to catch alight and tear through the layers, and the metal to weld to his body,
leaving him half human with little to no skin, and half metal. At the time of this happening, Michael was trapped firmly inside his capsule, helpless to cease the
masses of pain he endured during his transformation.
Michael Knox was once a normal man, like you, me and everyone else, and in certain aspects, he still is, he lives, he breathes, he eats he talks, yet, in the
eyes of our society today, he is nothing but a monster.

To this day, Michael Knox spends his life hunting down the loved ones of Jeremy Wilde and mutililating them, before murdering them in the most horrific and painful
way possible, taking away everything from Wilde, ultimately robbing him of his humanity, much as Wilde did to him. And that is the tale of Metallic Michael, the man
who is driven to murder, through the impulse of a single fellow human.

'Where does he hide?' I hear you ask? Well, the only information known is that he enjoys cold, dark and ultimately concealed areas, much like a wardrobe, yes, that's
it, he hides in wardrobes.
