The new modern and simplistic styles you see today were formed mainly because your era of skinners did what you guys do so well there wasn't room for anyone new and interesting to come in. It turned into a massive competition that had no real winner. So, people started making radical and new styles like Contrast and -ATOM- to try to make their own mark on PMC. It all depends on what you view progression and development as; the refining of old techniques or the creation of new ones?

Either way, the skin is nicely done. Not a style I'm familiar with myself, but it certainly looks good ^^
