Fairly nice. The shading is a bit linear where the skin is representing a presumably rugged miner... Perhaps try making the pixels a bit different on each side. The helmet could also look a bit better if it was not completely linear. Try having the sash overlay the pickaxe. Some scars may add a more "Rugged" effect as well.
