IGEBM rides on his skeleton horse to a nearby blacksmith's forge. On the way, he stops at the rail station coming from the Mystic Caves to pick up a shipment of mithril. He continues on his way to forge, with the three buckets of mithril attached to his horse now. IGEBM arrives at the blacksmith's forge, and he puts on his forging clothes. Then, he takes out a three differently-sized mithril ingots: one small, one medium, and one large. The medium is more like a cube. Lighting the forge with his flint and steel, IGEBM heats the ingots and uses his netherite hammer to shape the metal. The small piece is shaped into a hatchet blade, the medium a hammer head, and the largest ingot is turned into the blade of a scythe. IGEBM lets these pieces cool and then begins work on several more mithril ingots.

After about 30 minutes of forging, he now has a pair of boots, knee pads, gloves, a large shoulder pad, a small shoulder pad, a chestplate, a small piece of metal to hold something, and a helmet. He puts these armor pieces on the cooling rack and then gets to work with the cooled down weapon heads. He walks to LogMaiden's home, near one of the yellowsmith forges, and he picks up some logs from her log pile. He returns to the forge and begins to saw the logs into sticks of different lengths. One is short, another is a few inches longer, and the third is 67 inches long and slightly curved, with a second stick being carved to serve as the second handle. He starts to attach the weapon heads to each one: the hatchet gets the short one, the hammer the medium-sized one, and the scythe blade is attached to the long stick, and IGEBM also attaches the second handle to it.

IGEBM then puts on leather tool belt on, and the hatchet and hammer fit right in. He now has a better hammer to forge with, and a small melee weapon for close combat. IGEBM then tries on the boots and knee pads. They fit. He puts on the shoulder pads and gloves. They fit. He puts on the helmet and it fits, as does the chestplate. He then takes off everything and puts the chestplate on the forging table. He grabs the piece of metal that looked like it would hold something and he heats up the bottom using a flint and steel. He then attaches the heated piece of mithril to the back of his chestplate. Then, he cools it off and, after about 5 minutes, he puts the scythe in the holder. Now his tool set has storage, and his mithril armor and weapon/tool set is complete.
