No such thing as a stupid question my friend. Advertising is allowed to be done in the chat once every 15 minutes so if I were you I'd go to the chat and there's a little link button beneath send which pops up with a window to post a link and then allow you to type a message to display for the link. You can get noticed quite a lot by doing this and earn yourself quite a lot of subs too from people seeing your work. Good luck buddy!
