Narilus lost his humanity long ago when he betrayed his king and led his kingdom to ruin.

In the dark of night Narilus entered his lord's chambers and slew him in his own bed. The act however was witnessed and the alarm was sounded. The royal guard had the king's chambers surrounded and were readying their assault when they heard demonic noises sound from inside.

The guards burst into the chambers to find a strange gateway made of the darkest stone, unearthly noises resonating from within.

The guards stood there awe-struck, unsure of how to proceed.

Not that it mattered. Within minutes fire started spewing forth from the portal and out launched Narilus, donned in the most unholy of armors. With a sword in each hand Narilus slew the entire royal guard.

By the end of the night his kingdom lay in ruin. Only Narilus and his portal remained unscathed.

Dark sounds of death echoed throughout the lands.

His work was not done.
