Slipknot is a group of neo metal from Des Moines, Iowa,
formed in 1995 and currently part of Roadrunner Records.
The band's musical style is mostly nu metal. Group members have,
in addition to their real name, a number associated with them.

Every year since 2000, they were nominated for Grammy Awards in
the Best Metal Performance category, and ended up winning the 2006 in
this category with their song "Before I Forget".
Slipknot has sold over 20 million albums worldwide..
