There once lived an old man. His name was, peculiarly enough, Fuzbum. Old Fuzbum lived long ago, when the world was new. When the grass was still green, and the forests still lush, and the mountains still tall. He lived when there were castles, and dragons, and such fantastical things. He lived when the people thought that the world was still flat, and when people didno t have convenient things such as public television, or Toaster Ovens, or even the internet. However, Fuzbum knew all this was too come. How did he know you ask? For old Fuzbum was an oracle, someone who could see things that have not happened yet. Unfortunately, he gazed into the future a little too often, and he went mad. People got scared of him, and he lived, for years and years, alone in his tower(back then, any prosperous and decent wizard had a tower). One day, he saw that, in the future, something very, very bad would happen to the world, and he warned all of his friends and family, though they were few. However, knowing that Fuzbum was an old fool, no one believed him. Therefore, taking matters into his own hands, Fuzbum began making something-- something that no one could make sense of. It was tall, and made of the steel of swords, and axes-- it had magic in it too... dangerous magic, some that could get you killed, if you didno t know how to use it properly. Fuzbum told his friends and family of how he was going to live, because he believed in his magic. Alas, they all turned his away-- they all thought that he was simply old and dumb-brained. Then, one day, Fuzbum woke up, and knew that this day was the one. The one he had seen in the future, the one that would destroy their world as they knew it. As Fuzbum climbed up his contraption, he glanced back at the houses and homes of his only friends and family, and remembered how they wouldno t believe him. Frowning, he turned away, and began the o magico that would save him. Suddenly, all his friends and family looked up, and gasped-- for Fuzbum was flying! Flying in his tall thing made of steel! Flying in the magic thing he created, with his own too gnarled, bony hands. Cackling madly, Fuzbum waved one last time, calling, o Youo ll wish you had believed me soon!o Then, he was gone-- gone into the sky, towards the sun. Slowly, the people heard an odd noise-- one that they couldno t make sense of. It sounded like that of a dragon, but one bigger then anything they could imagine. Then, the sun was covered by something-- a giant rock that flew down from the heavens, and streaked towards the earth. Screaming in fear, the people fled, but all too late-- if only they had trusted old Fuzbum. Now, Fuzbum was miles and miles in the sky, and had seen the giant rock, and knew what it was-- it was a meteor. And a whopping big one at that. He chuckled as it flew downwards, spelling the doom of the people of the earth. However, old Fuzbum remembered sadly of his friends, and his family, and how he once shared supper, and had brunch and breakfast with them. He remembered how they cared for him, and taught him the way of the world. Getting a stern look on his face, he turned his machine around, and hurtled towards the earth, zooming past the rock, and in no time reached the surface-- where the people had gathered, cowering in fear. Old Fuzbum called out his magic words, o LEVA PUER TERRAE!o and the people below lifted from the earth, towards Fuzbumo s machine. He gathered up all the people, and his machine rose into the sky, and flew towards the heavens, as the giant rock flew down, crashing into the earth below...
Millions of years later, people found evidence of a crashed steel cylinder of sorts, and found that it, if recreated, could fly. So they made another, based off of Fuzbumo s. They named it, peculiarly enough, Apollo 11.
