Behold, the scaly incarnation of the Pisces zodiac sign. Does it swim in the heavens, circling the lake of stars? Or does it bake cookies and cry watching Hallmark movies?


Pisces is the sign of the fish. It is associated with duality, and passionate, unwavering emotion and empathy. This catfish/koi is a personification of that sign, with the unnatural bright blue sheen implying divinity and/or spirituality. Its two colors, blue and red, are the epitome of duality, with the blue being tranquil and calm, cool-headed, while the crimson fins and barbels are wild, firey, and unapologetic. They stand out intensely against the more subdued part of the fish's appearance, hinting at the overpowering passionate aspect of Pisces' nature. Now doesn't that sound artsy?



Oh yeah, and there's a hook in his head, because he's hooked on you.


This is an entry for @devil_eggpuffs in the Astrological Skin Contest. I thought it was only fitting to make this because my actual sign is Pisces, and I love fish a lot. I've been working on this skin for a long time and it was great practice for me doing the stripy scale shading and the fins.



For those following my skin journey, this is my first SKIN. However, note that it is certainly not the first ITERATION. I basically redid the skin twice and worked on about one surface a day. I'll post something on my wall showing the progression it went through.
