Hello everyone, AnimeFanFTW here, with a brand new skin, and this skin is a Gijinka Form of one of my favorite Pokemon ever, Mawile!
Btw, I'm taking a tiny hiatus on making blogs. I might get back into skinning soon. :D
Now, to Mawile.
I've recently been playing a ton of Pokemon Showdown recently, and just been messing around with the new stuff Pokemon has, since the latest Pokemon game I played until then was Pokemon White 1. And wow. A brand new type, and mega evolutions. Crazy stuff.
Anyway, throughtout all my time playing Pokemon, one of my favorites was always the cute Mawile.
Mawile was first introduced in Gen 3, in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. It's Pokedex number is #303, and before Gen VI (X/Y), it was a pure Steel Type Pokemon, before Gen VI arrived, giving it the extra type of Fairy, making it a Steel/Fairy type. Mawile's stand at 0.6m tall and weigh 11.5kg. Some Pokedex entries read:
Don't be taken by this Pokémon's cute face - it's very dangerous. Mawile fools the foe into letting down its guard then chomps down with its massive jaws. The steel jaws are really horns that have been transformed.
Attached to its head is a huge set of jaws formed by horns. It can chew through iron beams.
Dispite being so cute, and with such an awesome design, before Gen VI, Mawile was not a good Pokemon. Being one of the most frail and weakest Steel type Pokemon, and with attack stats that are below average, this Pokemon was not reliable enough for competitive play. And even though it was a huge favorite of mine, I almost never used one.
And then...Pokemon X and Y happened.
Mawile all of a sudden gained MASSIVE upgrades. For starters, it gains the new type of Fairy, making it so it was only weak to Fire and Ground type attacks, and was completely immune to Poison and Dragon type attacks.
Then it gained a Mega Evolution.
When Mawile goes mega, it gains 20 base attack, 40 base defense and 40 base special defense.
But even then, Mega Mawile is not that impressive. Until you look at its ability.
What does Huge Power do?
IT DOUBLES THE ATTACK STAT.
Meaning, that Mega Mawile, technally, has a base Attack stat of 210. There is not one Pokemon in the entire game that has that much power. Not even Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo X/Y have that big an attack stat.
MEGA MAWILE HAS THE BIGGEST ATTACK STAT IN THE ENTIRE GAME...TECHNICALLY...
It's so awesome to think that Mawile, one of my favorite Pokemon, a Pokemon that was thought to be nothing but a joke, is all of a sudden one of the most threating Pokemon to face. It just makes me laugh. xD
Anyway, yeah, I made the skin based on the human form (Or Gijinka for short) of Mawile. The reference picture looks awesome. I'm kinda proud of this skin. I wish I was a better skin maker, so I can work better on the monster jaw. Maybe I'll update it one day...

But Pokemon like Mawile, Beedrill and Audino did get a major boost they deserved, But yeah, I was shocked when Mawile gained a huge boost. It was fantastic. :D
