tip: if you are making a female skin, you must have some sort of hair in the front. even if it's a few pixels long and doesn't show on reference pictures, minecraft skins have shoulders that are really far up. so what shows next to the neck in real non-minecraft pictures should be on the chest in minecraft skins. skins with hair should almost always also have hair on the sides of the face. if you add more hair, this skin could be even better! using hair in the front makes sense as hair naturally falls forward. this also helped me with my older skins.
