Moral of Quote
If you haven't already known from my first post, I am a fan of Adventure Time. While Jake is my favourite character, I feel like we can learn a lot from other characters too. They said it's kids cartoon, but it's not anymore uncommon for adults my age to watch it too now and receive something out of it. This quote made me think a lot of how relationships work. I am not talking about solely romantic relationships, but also platonic ones. Needing to respect each other for a relationship to work is actually pretty simple, but sometimes we are blinded by our own selfishness and ego that we often force other people to be what we expect them to be like.
I feel like respecting and accepting someone as who they are are two different things though. You don't have to accept someone when you are able to respect them. Let's say you have a friend who tends to be stubborn. You don't feel like you can put up with their flaw, while all your other friends can. You don't have to force yourself to agree with their stubbornness, nor put up a fight for it (unless ofc, if they hurt you from being stubborn, it's okay to confront them respectfully). You can respect that they have their own flaw, and if you don't feel like you can put up with their flaw, then it is okay to make distance. You don't have to force yourself to be with someone you don't feel comfortable with.
However, all of this is just my opinion and how I think about the particular quote. What about you? Does it remind you of something, or can you relate with this particular quote?
Skin Commentary
The skin I made this time is rather simple. I experiment a bit for the outer layer, taking a look a lot of other people's skin creations as references. It still took me many hours to create one skin, but I'm sure with frequent practice, I'll be able to finish quicker. I suppose the colours can be improved too. The dress is too simple. Honestly, at this point I don't know what other features to add on the clothing, since PB has a very simple pink dress. But anyhow, I am proud to be able to complete making another skin today. :D
