Shilo first met that monster called Vampire, in 1991, in the Slobozia forest in Romania

where Vampire subjugated Shilo into servitude. Shilo brought him back to Hoia Baciu, and eventually to Count Dracula's castle hotel Transylvania. The Dark Lord planned to obtain the health powers and fabricate the Elixir of Life to acquire a body.

Shilo had fused with Vampire and agreed to allow Vampire’s fledgling body to latch on to the back of his head. It was only able to grow into a face, and used Shilo for transportation and sustenance.


While Shilo did not lose his soul, he became completely subjugated by Vampire, who caused a frightful mutation of Shilo’s body: now Vampire looked out of the back of Shilo’s head and directed his movements, even forcing him to attempt murder.
