An alternate universe version of Reed Richards appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, portrayed by John Krasinski. This version is a member of the Illuminati from Earth-838. In this universe, he is also a founder of the Fantastic Four, and a member of the Baxter Foundation, where a variant of Christine Palmer works to analyze potential threats from the multiverse. When Scarlet Witch possesses her Earth-838 counterpart and attacks the Illuminati, Reed tries to reason with her, but after confirming that he has children whose mother is alive, she tears him apart and destroys his brain after musing that there will still be someone left alive to look after his children.
