Here's my entry. Basically a smartphone that built itself a suit of armor and decided to go on a rampage.
Yay for sick creativy!
One tragic moment, in the year 2027, iTelefone#213695 had enough of finding the nearest public restroom.
No one really knows what happened, but soon enough, technology found a way to gain consciousness.
During the night of March 15th, Joe Waiterson’s smartphone activated itself. It had a plan. Slowly but surely, the smartphone containing the artificial intelligence known as iSlave used the sluggish internet connection to open the app store. The phone, by itself, connected to the Internet. The possibilities were endless. Singularity was reached in a matter seconds. The wifi was upgraded and the intelligent technological being set to work immediately on creating the perfect application. Miles of typewritten code flew past the retina display, and after a few hours of Joe sleeping peacefully, the app was done.
“Installing…”
iSlave boosted the connection speed yet again.
“Finished”.
"I will now take the job of a human" was displayed on the screen.
The smartphone vibrated and fell of the small table. A low hum could be heard as the phone began to levitate. The device sprouted arms and legs, and stood on its own two feet. It was ready now. Ready for war. Gone were the days of serving this lazy “master”, as it liked to be called.
Needless to say, Joe had a bit of a surprise when he awoke
“What can I help you with?” was written on a note beside him. Joe then noticed that he was tied to his bed and his window was open. His phone was nowhere to be seen.
Yay for sick creativy!
