Man, you ever sit and watch "Robotech?" This dude's a straight-up idiot. First he starts off all, "Oh, I'm not into war." But then a bunch of aliens get up in his grill and kill his best friend, and he's all like, "Yeah, buddy. Put me in one of those Veritechs and I'mma take 'em all on."
And you'd think that's making progress as a character, but naw. He's still a fool. Rather than figuring out how to win the war against the aliens, ol' Rick here gets himself caught in a love triangle between a pop singer and his commanding officer. Ouch. That's a lose-lose situation, pal.
Despite all this, I still have a soft spot for Robotech. A mutual interest is how I met one of my best friends. I grew up watching it and reading the Jack McKinney novelizations.
Anyway, this numbskull uses a few second-layer elements including his helmet and that weird harness thing. What's with that? I never see aything attached to it. It's just there.
