A week before the inevitable twist of fate, Rod was working as a casual clerk at the family's Atlanta grocery store. When the End of the World came, at the time of the onset of the Age of the Dead, he had to adapt to the new laws of the world. Since childhood, he liked three things: Cars, firearms and protecting loved ones. These three skills helped him a lot in life.
