Backstory: 
               Bullets flew everywhere. The cargo ship was in flames. He didn't know what to do. He hadn't gotten the training for this. He was scared. He pulled his skyship, the "Amanda" away from the battle. His plan was to retreat.
              Halfway through, his captain radioed the ship. "Gabriel, what are you doing?! Get back to the action!". Gabriel frantically tried to turn the radio off, but it was too late. The captain's ship was headed towards the samll fighter skyship for boarding. Gabriel panicked. His breath labored. His back arched, and in a moment of idiocy, he pressed the red button. A small flurry of shots flew from the skyship at the captain's ship, but it was enough.
            The ship exploded in a ball of fire that rocked Gabriel's ship. He was thrown against a wall, and landed with a dull thud on the cold metal floor. He blacked out. 
            When he woke up, he knew the rest of the fleet knew exactly his crime. The punishment for this treason was death. He couldn't die, not now. Not when Amanda needed him most. However, the fleet was still busy fighting the robbers. He gunned the engine, and headed to the one place they would never find him; The Floating Isle of Berle.
           As he turned the wheel on the fore-deck, drops of hot liquid stained his hands. He looked down and saw the dark red splatter of blood on his fingers. He reached up and gently caressed his right eye. A jagged cut ran through the eye down to the cheekbone. He didn't have time to bandage the future scar. He had to keep flying. Away.
