Better Call Saul is an American drama television series created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. It is a prequel and spin-off series to Gilligan's previous series, Breaking Bad. Set in the early to mid-2000s, the series follows the story of Jimmy McGill (played by Bob Odenkirk), a con artist recently turned lawyer and later known as Saul Goodman. The series begins six years before the events of Breaking Bad and follows McGill's transformation from former small-time con man to criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, one of the main characters in Breaking Bad. McGill becomes the lawyer for ex-cop Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), whose skills allow him to enter the criminal underworld of drug trafficking in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The show premiered on the AMC channel on February 8, 2015, and has aired six seasons. Netflix broadcasts the series in several countries and Movistar Series in Spain.
