Well, I only shade in GIMP but I make the skin itself in MCSkin3D :)
And if you're asking how to shade it's kinda hard to explain... there must be some videos out there that show you that :)

I know how to shade, I just didn't think of doing it that way. That's brilliant! :3 o-o But I thought gimp was photo shops retarded brother....Hahaha

You should try Miners Need Cool Shoes :3 It's free too. That's what I use xD
