After the Atara Rebellion, the citizens of Cytruphs and Hammerhorn were put into cells. Shyla spent a part of childhood living with her mother in the small farming village of Cytruphs, her father was part of the Atara rebellion, so she spent the rest of her adolescence locked up in the Arghensten dungeon, were she lost her mother to smallpox very quickly. Finally when she turned 18, she was recused by John Zugath, a high ranking Ironblood knight. The life she led after her release, will be more important to her and Johns survival than anything they will face.
