Mind if I ask how you get the colors for shading? Is it one color in different values or multiple colors such as a brown for regular hair shades, then a more purplish color for darker spots. Or light tan skin with a reddish color for shades. I have just been wondering and want to compare my style with others and see if any ideas are out there to improve with.

I just take a pretty light brown-ish colour and keep making it darker as in the patern you see in the hair. For the skin base I use more pink-ish colours, but it's pretty hard to explain. I use Skindex's editor which makes it really easy to build up colour. Hope that helps.
