The Soviet Union took part in the annexation of Poland and the Baltic States at the beginning of World War II. He fought the Winter Wars with Finland at the end of 1939. The Red Army, which was initially unsuccessful and inadequate, reached the peak of its power in 1942 and even buried the German armies trying to seize Moscow in the cold snow. He made a superhuman effort at the Battles of Stalingrad and Kursk and chased the Germans as far as the capital Berlin. Finally, on May 2, 1945, he took Berlin and fought until the German surrender. While fighting, their uniforms were generally like this and adorned with the colors of the vast Soviet steppes.
