Stone Dwarf

Dwarves, modeled from the very stone of the mountains!

  I present to you Durgor, the Beginning. The first of his kind to be made, his true name cannot be pronounced nor written, as only the trees and the wind can echo his calling. Tholir, the God and creator of all dwarves, carved a handful of stone from the Buldor mountains and began to mold his masterpiece, breathing life into what was once still. Upon the highest peak of Buldor stood the first dwarf, his body of stone, upon his face a large beard made of coal. As his creation gazed in wonderment of the world around him, Tholir grasped the arm of Durgor, and from the clenches of his hand obsidian began to form upon Durgor's arm. As this happened, Tholir spoke:

  "My child, I gift to you an arm of obsidian. As long as you walk this world and create in my name, your arm shall act as my own."

  And with these words Tholir's power poured into the obsidian, and his celestial form vanished. As Durgor stood upon the mountain peak, he became in awe of the blessing bestowed upon him. He raised his obsidian arm and declared "In Tholir's name, I strike the earth!" And with a mighty blow, Durgor thrust his fist into the stone beneath him, turning it to rubble.
