B-but why would you give it a Focus Sash? Give it a Life Orb; this way, Gale Wings will give Brave Bird priority, and the Life Orb gives it even more damage, plus the STAB.

Mistake caused by copy paste from this, however as indicated by the EVs, Nature, and moves, this is a bulky set and the correct item is Leftovers. Life Orb generally isn't viable for Talonflame anyways andfor a bulkier set it would only be a massive detriment. This is due to the massive amount of recoil you will be receiving, and as such Sharp Beak and Choice Bands are far more common on offensive sets and Leftovers are more common on defensive sets

Hum.. I see what you mean. Plus, Talonflame doesn't appreciate rocks very much--somewhat like a certain dragon known as Charizard. :P

Yeah, the team I use this guy in is based upon a Wonder Trio a stall based strategy, so it's core is Mega Sableye to wall and bounce stuff back, Dugtrio to trap and kill and Shedinja to wall and force switches. Other members include Togekiss to wall, Defog and heal, Seismitoad to wall and set up status and Stealth Rocks and Talonflame to wall, revenge kill and spread status. So not only is Talonflame weak to Stealth Rocks but so if Shedinja who gets KOed by Spikes and Toxic Spikes too, for that reason Mega Sableye and Togekiss are used as counters to entry hazards

That's actually a really nice team. I personally always use Togekiss for a paraflincher (who doesn't like that?), and a Mega Gengar with Perish Song and Shadow Tag (works every time). Other than that, my team consists of what I feel like putting on; heck, I even made a pretty good Sandshrew.
